What a difference putting a little bit of fucking effort makes.

Glad Pellegrini went, still not happy its moyes taken over

But it proved it's the players fucking lazy attitude over the past few months which was a huge part of the problem, not just aufrey

Smartypants- that number is tickets sold rather than how many through the turnstiles. I think a fair few stayed away today. Emptiest I recall seeing it for a PL game.

Shame seen as they missed the first half decent performance and result for about 3 months.

Great performance and good to see 100% effort being put in by the players. Despite his goal I was still not convinced with Anderson and his bottle going into challenges.

Now Moyes please put out our strongest team for the cup!

Depends where you are sitting in the bowl. Glad you found it okay.

Just what was needed for Moyes return, an opponent fielded an eleven that would struggle to survive in the Championship.

That result and performance should restore some confidence.

Maybe its a turning point ...

VAR called the ref a cunt after his ludicrous red for Cresswell
The CHEAT Wilson didnt score
Solanke who has 1 goal in 80-something games heads against a post and it drops in Fabs arms

My first game at the bowl and it wasn't too bad! It will never be Upton Park but it was ok.

Great pressing throughout the team, though Snodgrass, Anderson and Fornals all put in a shift.

Fuck me Bournemouth were utterly dreadful though.

I see our attendance was 59,917, that can’t be right can it? Looked like a fair few empty seats.

Be interesting,to,see if inheriting a side with a few flair players will be a good start for Moyes if he can add a bit of drive and discipline.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bournemouth - Official Match Thread - A Ratched
Much much better.
More effort , higher tempo and TRYING to put the ball in dangerous areas.

Still struggled to keep possession and gave the ball back too easily.
Ogbonna was outstanding , Fornals continues to improve and Anderson looked something more like the player of last season.
Could do with another midfielder who can win and keep the ball and generally a bit more pace and energy.
Antonio out again so definitely need another striker to relieve Haller as Ajeti looks not up to it.
I am guessing he will play at Gillingham to disprove that hopefully.

Two up is the answer. Let's fucking keep doing that, would be a good start.

Haller needs to step up with his passing but if he scores each game that’s his job

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bournemouth - Official Match Thread
I have to say I didn't think Haller was that good, apart from the goal. Didn't seem to know where or when to run, didn't win much in the air and his touch was poor. But he did put in more effort so hopefully he'll gain in confidence.
But that was a joy to watch today, and the amount of pressing we did showed up how little we did before. I think we all know it's only one game, but at least the hope is back.

Fair play to the manager good solid performance and even got Anderson running off the first 30mins
Great to see Haller starting to get involved
Still a long way to go imo but getting Anderson to run and not playing Arthur at left back is start
I’ll be very disappointed if he doesn’t start the same team against Gillingham we now need to build momentum our dreadful run started by getting beat by Oxford after putting a weakened team out
I suppose we’ll see if he gives a fuck about trying to win something

Totally agree with you about Sullivans priorities. It's abundantly clear that crashing out of cups in the most humiliating of fashions has never bothered him. In fact I'd suspect that he actually instructs managers not to bother in cups.

I just pray that the ginger messiah decides to have a go in darkest Kent this weekend 'cos I'm fucking sick of our cup humiliations.

"Still concerned by some players lack of sharpness and quality of passing, but today is exactly what was needed!"

I agree 100% still too many moves breaking down, but some effort was there and that should improve if they train hard and smart hopefully.

Confidence is huge.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bournemouth - Official Match Thread
A complete performance, without being flashy. Worked hard, ran about a bit and I loved the high press and game management in the second half. Would have liked the ole moment goal to top it off.

Ogbonna was a fucking beast today. Anderson worked well in the hole without the responsibility of having to work the wing, but he also did track back and still had plenty in the tank.
